poor visual quality, but intriguing gameplay. By 1999,
the game began taking it's theme of battling Martians and
robots in a futuristic setting. The game stalled for some
time, but when the Q2 source was released, it began to
evolve into a more cohesive and visually stimulating game.
In January of 2003, CodeRED - Battle for Earth was released
and was warmly welcomed into the community. BFE has been reviewed and featured in numerous print and web
media, and been downloaded an estimated 200,000
times since it's release.
In September of 2003, a second episode, "The Martian
Chronicles" was released.
The newest installment of CodeRED, "Alien Arena" is
scheduled for a September 2004 release date.
